History
With roots spanning more than 80 years in Central Florida, Action Medical Staffing was founded by a nurse and has been proudly owned and operated by nurses ever since! We understand the communities we serve, and the vital role healthcare professionals play in them. Our deep appreciation for our clients and healthcare workers is reflected in our slogan, “our heart beats for healthcare.”

Melissa Terry, Administrator/ HR:
I have a passion for the “people” side of medicine. Growing up, I felt as though healthcare was in my DNA with family members in various healthcare roles. I developed an early appreciation for this industry that led to me to earn my AA in Science and pursue training in both massage therapy and medical assisting. My versatile career path has allowed me to bridge the gap between healthcare providers and facility needs seamlessly. My experiences have helped me to understand the clinical demands as well as the administrative ones. Being a true country girl at heart, I find my balance through music, travel, sunsets, cheering my favorite football team with my husband, to spending quality with my son, bonus daughter and 3 beautiful grandchildren.
Heidi Heath, Sr. Scheduling Coordinator/ Recruiting:
With over ten plus years of experience in medical scheduling, I specialize in keeping healthcare operations running smoothly and everything stays on track. When I’m not balancing the books at work, I’m balancing a lively home life with my husband, three kids, and a mini-zoo of five animals. I’m a professional multi-tasker who finds my “me time” by getting lost in a great book or binge-watching the latest must-see series or movie.
Qushawna Hamilton, RN Supervisor:
Qushawna Hamilton, BSN, RN, is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse Supervisor with extensive experience across behavioral health, school-based health services, correctional healthcare, and acute psychiatric settings. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Healthcare, which provides her with a comprehensive clinical and psychosocial foundation that strengthens her leadership in complex care environments.
Currently serving as an RN Supervisor with Action Medical Staffing, Qushawna oversees and supports Licensed Practical Nurses in school-based clinics, ensuring compliance with nursing standards, district policies, and state regulations. She provides clinical training, mentorship, and quality oversight while developing and implementing individualized care plans for students with chronic conditions, special healthcare needs, and behavioral health concerns. Her leadership approach emphasizes collaboration with families, educators, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote safe, coordinated, and effective care.
